This stunning Champagne bar is located in the luxury quarter, airside at Heathrow, T5.
The island unit acts as a signpost to the Fortnum & Mason retail store located opposite. The traveller can have food and drinks served around a magnificent Island Bar. The canopy was created by artisans and craftsmen which is very unusual in an airport setting. The bespoke glass in case display boxes, a crushed ice crustacean display and various refrigerated and ambient displays. The island is serviced by a fully fitted catering kitchen which adjoins the retail unit.
Airside projects have their own challenges, not least security, access and time constraints. However, these were overcome and the bar was ready to serve passengers food throughout the day by Christmas 2014.
