The restoration of this Grade 1 Listed structure followed years of neglect culminating in destruction of the majority of the deck buildings and extensive damage to the supporting structure by fire in 2010. The restoration work included the rebuilding/extension of the one surviving Listed pavilion and a new build visitor centre constructed with cross laminated timber and clad with reclaimed timber decking from the original structure.
We worked with architects dRMM as well as Structural Engineers Ramboll and the Heritage Lottery Fund
